Making Enrichment More Accessible
At Gifted & Talented, we believe every child has individual interests, strengths, and talents worth encouraging. We want children to have opportunities to explore what excites them, challenge themselves, and experience different ways of learning.

We also recognize that the cost of extracurricular activities, enrichment programs, and educational experiences can sometimes prevent families from pursuing experiences their children would love.

That's why we're developing a scholarship program to help make these experiences more accessible to local children and families.

Through student recommendations from educators and community members we hope to give more children throughout Pinellas County the chance to pursue their passions, connect with peers who share them, and enjoy experiences that make learning fun and exciting.
Know a Child Who Would Thrive with Opportunities to Pursue Their Passions?
While some children naturally excel in Math and Language Arts, others struggle with these subjects and may begin to lose confidence in their abilities. With so much emphasis placed on these areas in traditional schools, particularly through state assessments, a child's other strengths and talents can somethimes go unrecognized.

Yet parents and educators often see incredible creativity, curiosity, and abilities in children whose passions lie elsewhere. We believe these interests are just as valuable and should be encouraged.

We welcome recommendations from educators, mentors, and community members who recognize a child's interests, enthusiasm, or talents and believe they would benefit from opportunities to explore them further.
Â
Academic achievement is not a requirement for a recommendation. Whether a child has a passion for science, art, technology, engineering, creative pursuits, or simply enjoys learning something new, we encourage you to tell us about them.

Parents and guardians are also welcome to inquire about scholarship opportunities for their own children.
